Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the United States and is a Greek-American author, syndicated journalist and businesswoman. She founded The Huffington Post, is the chief executive officer and co-founder of Thrive Global as well an author of fifteen novels. Arianna Huffington is an author, philanthropist, television host and the owner of The Huffington Post. She was born in Greece then moved to England at age sixteen. At Cambridge University, she graduated with a MA of Economics. At 21 she became president of the renowned debating society The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign born student to do so. The success of her columnist of the conservative side was confirmed after she graduated. With the introduction of The Huffington Post a few months later, she launched an online platform for voice that gave an honest assessment of the current political situation. Arianna was able to attract numerous prominent contributors to post their opinions about politics and culture. Arianna gained fame after she made the decision in 2003 to become an Independent Candidate for the California Recall Election to replace the Governor Davis. She was also involved in an initiative in Detroit that promoted fuel-efficient automobiles. Forbes named her as one of the "most powerful female" in media with her ranking at the 12th spot. Guardian placed her on their list of the 100 most influential media people in 2009. In 2011, AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post and made her president of that media company, which also included a number of at the time-current AOL products, such as Engadget AOL music Style list as well as Patch Media. Her parents were journalist and manager Konstantinos along with his partner Elli Stasinopoulos. Although she was a close friend to her father it was her relationship with her mother that formed her life. At an early age, she demonstrated leadership skills that are still highly regarded. at the age of 16 she relocated to the United Kingdom to pursue her studies and enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. She was a member of the Cambridge Union college debate society during her time at college, where she was the third female to serve as president. In 1972, she graduated with an MA in Economics. In the years following the graduation ceremony, she became an editor of the critic's column and a television host. She was on the show with Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she began to write her own novels with his aid.
